What
Happens to a Rescued Collie?
Grooming comes first - dematting, bathing,
clipping nails, shaving if necessary.
The veterinarian is second for a thorough
exam and an y
necessary medical treatment. All Collies taken in by COLLIE
RESCUE will have the following minimum of veterinary care:
- DHLPP Shot
- Rabies Shot
- Heartworm Test
- Worming
- Spay or Neuter
Third comes placement, if the right family
is on our waiting list. If not, the Collie is placed in a
foster home until a permanent home can be found for it.
COLLIE RESCUE does its best to ensure that
our rescued Collies are physically sound and that they have
stable temperaments. If there is any question about the Collie's
temperament or stability, COLLIE RESCUE will not attempt to
find a new home for it.
AGRESSIVENESS IN COLLIES
SHOULD BE NEITHER
ENCOURAGED NOR TOLERATED.
